The GWU declares an industrial dispute with the Energy and Water Agency

The Government and Public Entities Section, within the General Workers’ Union has declared an industrial dispute with the Energy and Water Agency regarding a disagreement on the Collective Agreement.

The GWU consulted with its members where they submitted the proposals for the Collective Agreement in order to reflect the nature of their work.

Although the GWU brought forward these proposals, the concerned stakeholders remained silent for a number of months. Therefore, the Section had no other choice but to declare an industrial dispute and contact the DIER for a conciliation meeting.

The Section does not rule out escalating the industrial dispute if no agreement or agreement is made.
