The General Workers’ Union declares an industrial dispute with the Parliamentary Service

The General Workers’ Union has declared an industrial dispute with the Parliamentary Service regarding the payment of a performance bonus. This happened after several members informed the Government and Public Entities Section that they did not receive the performance bonus they were entitled to according to the Collective Agreement, which should be given every year.

After the Government and Public Entities Section of the GWU requested clarification for what the members began to allege, no answer was given.

Thus the GWU informed them that as soon as the waiting period for the answer had expired, while stressing that the benefits should remain, it therefore declared an industrial dispute. In the coming days a conciliation meeting will be held at the DIER regarding this complaint and the way forward.
