The GWU visits the BOV workers on the island

… as part of the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the union

The central administration of the General Workers’ Union, last Friday, paid a visit to the workers at the BOV offices in the Island. This as part of the celebrations linked to the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the same union.

The central administration of the GWU was composed of the General Secretary Josef Bugeja, the President Victor Carachi and the Deputy General Secretary Kevin Camilleri. The Secretary of the GWU Professionals, Finances and Services Section Riccarda Darmanin was also present.

They were welcomed by the CEO of BOV, Mr. Kenneth Farrugia who spoke about the open and strong communication that exists between the two sides. This while he also referred to the balance in the way they serve their customers and even the flexibility given to the workers.

For his part, the General Secretary of the GWU Josef Bugeja said that he is pleased to meet the workers and officers of the bank and looks forward to continuing the healthy dialogue that will benefit both the bank and also the workers.
