The General Workers’ Union withdraws the industrial dispute after an agreement with MIMCOL

The General Workers’ Union withdrew the industrial dispute with the MIMCOL company as soon as they reached an agreement with the management regarding the agreed payment, that of annual disturbance allowance after they understood the situation.

After a conciliation meeting at the DIER, an agreement was reached between the Government and Public Entities Section and the management of MIMCOL. Thus the workers received an email informing them that they will be given the allowance for the year 2022 due to the nature of their work and due to the demands of MIMCOL.

The General Workers’ Union had declared an industrial dispute with the MIMCOL company regarding the payment of disturbance allowance last June. This happened after the management confirmed with the Government and Public Entities Section that it would not pay the annual disturbance allowance, which was given every year due to the nature of their work and due to the demands of MIMCOL.
