On the occasion of the appointment of Silvio Scerri as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Malta Council for Science and Technology, the General Secretary of the General Workers’ Union, Josef Bugeja, and the Secretary of the Professionals, Finance and Services Section, Riccarda Darmanin, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Officer Silvio Scerri at the MCST building in Villa Bighi.
While congratulating him on behalf of the GWU for his new leadership position within MCST, which they are convinced of based on their experience and work in other institutions, they discussed together the important goal of collaboration between them to facilitate the negotiation process for the next collective bargaining agreement that will begin immediately.
The GWU stressed the importance of working hand in hand to improve working conditions and the quality of life of employees.
“The goal of our organization, GWU, is to succeed with its work and its mission to improve the quality of life and guarantee a just future,” said General Secretary Josef Bugeja.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of MCST praised the hard work of GWU for the protection and interests of workers.
