DIER verification confirms that all employees in the grades of Deputy Registrar and Senior Clerks are GWU members
The General Workers’ Union (GWU) has been granted official recognition as the union representing all employees in the grades of Deputy Registrar and Senior Clerks within the Malta Arbitration Centre, following a verification process carried out by the Department of Industrial and Employment Relations (DIER).
The verification process followed a request submitted by the Professionals, Finance and Services Section within the GWU to be recognised as the union for collective bargaining purposes on behalf of these employees.
Following the verification of the employee list and membership details, DIER confirmed that all employees within the grades of Deputy Registrar and Senior Clerks are members of the GWU.
This outcome gives the GWU a clear mandate to represent the employees concerned and act on their behalf within the collective bargaining process.
The GWU welcomes this recognition and will continue working to safeguard the interests of its members, strengthen their working conditions and ensure effective representation in the workplace.
The GWU remains committed to social dialogue and strong industrial relations, with the aim of securing the best possible conditions for the workers it represents.
