
The General Workers’ Union (GWU), through its Technology, Electronics and Communications Section, has signed a new three-year Collective Agreement with Toppan Security Malta Ltd. The agreement introduces a range of improvements to employees’ working conditions, financial package and employment benefits.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the GWU by Jason Gatt, Secretary of the Technology, Electronics and Communications Section, together with Shop Steward Kevin Xuereb. Representing Toppan Security Malta Ltd. were Daniel Cremona, Head of Global Operations – ID and Site Director, and Seralie Bonett, Global HR Manager.
Jason Gatt described the agreement as another significant achievement for the company’s employees. He said that negotiations were conducted in a positive atmosphere and with mutual respect, with both parties working collaboratively to reach an agreement that further improves employees’ terms and conditions of employment.
He thanked the employees for the trust they continue to place in the GWU and expressed his appreciation to the Committee and Shop Steward Kevin Xuereb for their commitment, dedication and cooperation throughout the negotiation process.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Daniel Cremona, Head of Global Operations – ID and Site Director at Toppan Security Malta Ltd., expressed his satisfaction with the conclusion of the agreement.
“We are pleased to have concluded another Collective Agreement covering the next three years. This marks another important milestone that strengthens job security in Malta and reflects our continued commitment to our employees,” said Daniel Cremona.

The GWU believes that this Collective Agreement represents another important step towards strengthening industrial relations, while enhancing employee protection and supporting the long-term sustainability and competitiveness of the company.
Also present for the signing of the agreement were GWU Deputy Secretary General Kevin Abela and GWU President Jason Deguara.
