The General Workers’ Union (GWU) has paid tribute to the memory of Michael
Seychell, extending heartfelt condolences to his family.
A lifelong trade unionist, Seychell dedicated a significant part of his life to the GWU,
serving notably as Secretary of the Shipbuilders Section, now known as the Metal
and Construction Section.
The Office of the President also expressed its condolences, commemorating
Seychell for his unwavering commitment to the causes he believed in throughout his
public career. In an official statement, the Presidency highlighted Seychell’s
leadership in the field of trade unionism and praised his service in public and
administrative roles, including as a local councillor.
