New Collective Agreement Signed Between GWU and Gasco Energy Ltd

The Chemical and Energy Section of the General Workers’ Union (GWU) and Gasco Energy Ltd. have signed a new three-year Collective Agreement covering the period from 2025 to 2027.

This agreement ensures sustainable wage increases for all employees and introduces
improved and fairer working conditions. The agreement reflects the joint commitment of GWU and Gasco Energy Ltd. to foster a collaborative work environment. The negotiated terms strike a balance between employee welfare and the company’s operational goals, resulting in several benefits that strengthen the partnership between both parties.

The signing of the Collective Agreement took place in the presence of representatives from both sides. Representing the GWU were Section Secretary Rita Dimech, along with Shop Stewards Shaun Mangion and Matthew Friggieri. On behalf of the company, the agreement was signed by CEO Paul Agius Delicata, Engineer David Degiorgio, and Stephan L. Muscat.

Rita Dimech emphasized the significance of the agreement, stating:
“This Collective Agreement reflects our dedication to safeguarding employees’ rights and well-being while ensuring a collaborative relationship with Gasco Energy Ltd. We are proud to have reached this milestone, which provides our members with long-term financial stability and enhanced working conditions.”

She added that the Chemical and Energy Section of the GWU remains steadfast in its
mission to represent and support workers’ rights, ensuring that all members benefit from progress and growth.

Paul Agius Delicata, CEO of Gasco Energy Ltd., expressed his satisfaction with the
agreement, stating:
“We are pleased to have reached this agreement, which reflects our commitment to
recognizing and appreciating the contributions of our employees.”

This new agreement marks another significant step in strengthening the relationship
between the company and its workforce, ensuring mutual growth and stability.
