The Section of Finance and Service Professionals Section within the General Workers Union (GWU) has received key recognition for workers with the Malta Gaming Authority.
This key recognition was granted after the audit process conducted by the Department of Industrial and Employment Relations concluded that the majority of the employees of this Authority have become members. Now that it has this recognition, the Section will immediately begin discussions with the Authority regarding a new collective bargaining agreement for all employees. A collective agreement that will lead to an improvement in the working conditions of these employees, including the financial package.
Section Secretary Riccarda Darmanin thanked the workers for the trust they have placed in the General Workers Union and urged non-members to join their colleagues to increase the union’s presence in this workplace.
