The GWU has called industrial action over a major shortage of Caring Stream uniforms at MDH and MCH. Caring Stream Hospital staff cannot find uniforms and shoes when they need replacing.
The GWU – Government and Public Institutions Section has discussed this situation with the management and the Ministry of Health as proper work wear should be provided especially for health and safety reasons at the workplace. -Work.
After several weeks of waiting for some form of clarification and response regarding this situation, the GWU had no choice but to declare a labor dispute as provided for in the Public Service Collective Agreement. GWU does not rule out taking industrial action if this situation is not resolved.
